Keep your structure beautiful for years
Thank you for choosing Atlas Sun Systems for your outdoor space. A few simple habits protect both your structure and its warranty.
Remove heavy snow
Clear excessive snow build-up before it accumulates. Heavy snow can stress the structure. Do not use scrapers or sharp objects — use a soft broom or call our office for help.
Clean once a season
Wash frames and roofs at least once a year with soapy water and a soft brush. We recommend Blue Dawn dish soap. Clean seasonally to prevent dirt and grime build-up.
Use soft materials only
Never use hard-bristle brushes on polycarbonate or acrylic roofing. Stick to microfibre cloths or sponges to avoid scratches and surface damage.
Wait 48 hours after install
Sealing agents need two days to cure. Do not wash the roof within 48 hours of installation, and never scrape or apply high-pressure water directly on seams.
Skip the power washer
A regular garden hose is all you need. Power washing can strip sealants, force water into seams and damage roofing materials.
Walk safely on the roof
When maintenance is required, lay a plank board across the supporting T-bar to distribute your weight. Never step directly on roofing panels.
